A Message from Our Chief Nursing Officer

Health care is constantly evolving, and we recognize that continuous improvement is essential to providing the best possible care to our patients.

At UM St. Joseph Medical Center, we offer mentorship and support to our new hires and employed nurses through multiple programs with the support of nursing leadership and the Center for Clinical Excellence and Professional Development. Our Clinical Nurse Intern (CNI) program provides support and ease to new graduates during the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. We also provide a nurse graduate residency program designed for the transition to clinical practice with opportunities for leadership development and career planning.

We recognize the contributions of our nursing staff and are committed to their continued growth and development through our Professional Advancement Model. This is the vehicle for our nursing staff to be recognized for their achievements, sustained nursing excellence and contributions to our organization.

Guided by our Catholic health care tradition of loving service and compassionate care, we are known for our ability to deliver the highest quality, innovative and coordinated care for the communities we serve. I am proud to be a part of a nursing team dedicated to providing safe and loving service to everyone who sets foot into our hospital.

I invite you to explore our nursing opportunities, and I think you will find that your development as a professional nurse will thrive at UM St. Joseph Medical Center.
