For a reasonable fee, visitors can stay in the Hackerman-Patz House on UM St. Joseph Medical Center campus with referral from a health care worker at UM SJMC.

The Hackerman-Patz Guest House provides a warm, compassionate home-like setting for patients and families for whom daily travel to and from home to the hospital is a hardship. The Hackerman-Patz House accommodates up to three adults per room and offers an affordable, comfortable alternative to a hotel or long-distance travel—with rates that are substantially lower than area hotel fees.

- King-size bed option
- Two twin-bed option (rollaway bed upon request)
- Private bath and in-room kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator
