Opportunities for High School Seniors
UM Upper Chesapeake Health welcomes high school seniors preparing for their higher education in health care. Their options are to volunteer at the hospital or to connect with a health care provider that agrees for a student to shadow them for up to 20 hours. Shadowing and volunteering opportunities are available year-round.

- Shadowing is for those pursuing a health-related career and need a certain number of hours.
- Shadow opportunities should be pre-arranged by the student with a physician or other health care provider.
- Our Education Office can assist in your placement and schedule by contacting UMUCHStudents@umm.edu.
- Shadowing opportunities are limited to 20 hours.
