Diabetes and Endocrinology
At UM Upper Chesapeake Health, people with diabetes can get the help they need to successfully manage the disease. From consultation to treatment, education and support, we bring together all aspects of your diabetes health care.
Our diabetes and endocrinology practices treat adults with type 1, type 2 and other forms of diabetes whether you are newly diagnosed or have been coping with it for years. We also identify and treat thyroid and metabolic disorders including under and active thyroid—conditions that affect metabolism and cause fatigue, muscle weakness, feelings of restlessness, hair loss and more. Through careful planning, monitoring and management, you'll enjoy a better quality of life.

Services at our Center are comprehensive yet flexible enough so you can make choices that best suit your lifestyle. We also have certified diabetes educators onsite who will tailor education and clinical advice for each individual patient. They're available to ensure patients understand important priorities and the key areas of diabetes care and management.
