Shoulder Replacement
For people with severe arthritis and other conditions causing chronic shoulder pain, a shoulder replacement can bring relief when more conservative treatments have failed.
In the procedure we typically use, a reverse total shoulder replacement, a plastic socket is fitted into the upper arm bone and a metal ball is attached to the shoulder bone.
Often a better option than traditional shoulder replacement, especially for more complex cases in which the rotator cuff is torn, this type of shoulder replacement doesn't require the shoulder joint to rely on the rotator cuff for movement.
Rotator Cuff Surgery
Whenever possible our team makes arthroscopically assisted rotator cuff repairs because it is a less invasive option.
They insert cameras and surgical instruments through small incisions in the shoulder to repair the rotator cuff without opening up the whole shoulder area The result is a quicker recovery time with less post-surgical pain.
Shoulder Stabilization
For labral tears and other injuries that cause shoulder instability, arthroscopic shoulder stabilization surgery can bring relief.
During this minimally invasive surgical procedure treats, the surgeon can evaluate and correct what may be causing the instability.
