ER at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air

The Emergency Room at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center (UM UCMC) Bel Air is open 24 hours a day and treats conditions that need immediate care.

It is one of two ERs that make up the UM Upper Chesapeake Health Emergency Department.

• UM UCMC is a primary stroke center.
• Our experienced pediatric team is trained in emergency medicine, pain management and advanced life support.

Please note: The ER at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Aberdeen is the designated treatment center for sexual assault in Harford County. We will arrange a transfer there for patients at UM UCMC Bel Air who need the care of our sexual assault team. 

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person in our emergency rooms as fully, safely and quickly as possible. We see patients based on how serious their conditions are. Patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about what to expect at the ER.
