Your Visit to Klein Family Center
The Klein Family Center offers 24/7 mental health and addiction services in an easy to access, comfortable and secure setting.
From a telephone hotline, mobile response team and a walk-in urgent care clinic, to scheduled outpatient services and short-stay residential services for concentrated care, our goal is to help people overcome current mental health challenges, move into stabilization and ultimately achieve recovery.
What to Expect When You Visit Us
- When you visit our clinic, you’ll be greeted at the front desk and a nurse will provide a full health screen. These health screens are very important because sometimes a medical or physical issue can affect the way you feel.
- Next, you’ll see a counselor who will help assess your situation and connect you with services. It may take anywhere from one to three hours or more, depending on your individual situation and needs in that moment.
- If you or your child need further care, our team will link you and your family with the most appropriate community resources and providers.
The Klein Family Center is completely voluntary. You can leave at any time.
What to Bring to Your Visit
Please bring your identification and insurance card. If you have a list of any medicines you’re currently taking or recent hospital records, those are helpful too, but not required.
Feel free to bring a friend or family member with you.
Costs and Insurance
The hotline and mobile team services come directly to you has no cost; it’s a grant-funded program.
If you come to Klein Family Center, we will ask for your insurance information at registration.
If you do not have insurance, we have a representative from the Harford County Health Department here who may be able to help you enroll in the Maryland Medical Assistance Program.
