Medical Oncology
Physicians within the division of Medical Oncology/Hematology at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) provide primary cancer treatment, continuous follow-up, consultations and second opinions for cancer management in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Our oncologists and hematologists treat a full range of cancer-related diseases – from cancers of the blood, skin, lymph system and bone marrow to cancers of the solid organs.
Our multidisciplinary approach to cancer care combines the services of medical, radiation and surgical oncologists and offers specialty nursing and psychosocial support services.
Through our numerous clinical research activities, we bring innovation to cancer treatment, as evidenced by the numerous clinical trials we offer for various types of cancer.
We offer a Fellowship Program for physicians to further training and education.
UMGCCC focuses on the development of innovative drugs and other therapies. Researchers maintain extensive collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment programs at the cancer center.
