Aortic Valve Disease
The aortic valve controls blood flow from the main pumping chamber of your heart (left ventricle) to your aorta, the main artery in your body.
Aortic valve disease is most commonly seen as a narrowing in the opening, called valve stenosis.
It can also present as a leaking valve, when the opening doesn't close properly, which is called valve regurgitation.
