The University of Maryland Medical Center's Neuromuscular Program provides specialty comprehensive-specialist care for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease), muscle disease, myasthenia gravis, and peripheral neuropathy.
We provide the latest treatment options while helping our patients and their families adjust to their diagnosis.
Neuromuscular Disease Outpatient Care
Four specialty practices provide diagnosis and treatment for the following:
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease)
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Peripheral Neuropathy
- Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders and Muscular Dystrophy
These team-focused practices combine expertise and treatment by neurologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, neurosurgeons, thoracic surgeons and rehabilitation physicians.
