Interventional Therapies for Chronic Pain
Interventional therapies for pain encompass a spectrum of techniques that can bring pain relief to a range of conditions. At University of Maryland Pain Medicine, we offer these advanced interventional therapy options as part of a comprehensive pain treatment plan.
These often minimally invasive techniques include nerve blocks, injections into the joints, muscles and spine, delivery of medication via pump, and stimulation of nerves with electrical current.
In addition to these traditional interventional pain therapies, as an academic medical center, UM Pain can offer patients access to clinical trials for new interventional therapies.
