Short-Term Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization
The Short-Term Inpatient Hospitalization Program is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental and behavioral services for children ages 5 through 12 who require acute, structured, therapeutic and psychiatric treatment in the form of short-term hospitalization.
Scope of Services
The Short-Term Inpatient Hospitalization Program offers an extensive array of services to referring clinicians for their patients in need of acute psychiatric hospitalization. With an average length of stay of three to five days, our treatment goal is to establish rapid intervention designed to stabilize the crisis.
Services include:
- Individual therapy
- Family psychotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech/language therapy
- Medication management
- Educational intervention
- Nutritional consultations
Multidisciplinary Treatment Team
The benefit of the multidisciplinary team approach is rapid assessment and treatment. Our team consists of a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, a psychologist, social workers, educational specialists, occupational therapists, registered nurses specializing in psychiatry, mental health associates, and a dietitian. Our team of professionals works intensively with the referring clinician and the patient's family to ensure thorough assessment, comprehensive treatment and discharge planning.
