Mood Disorders
The Mood Disorders Clinic is designed to diagnose and treat children suffering from sadness, irritability, anxiety, fearfulness, mood instability, and/or loss. The clinic is set up for children ages 5 through 18 and has served the needs of our population for over 10 years.
In the Mood Disorders Clinic, each child is seen by a team of treatment clinicians. They will ask in-depth questions regarding the child or teen's mood symptoms, for example, when problems started, how much the mood issues interfere with the patient's ability to function, etc. Following a thorough evaluation, members of the treatment team will sit down with the family and discuss treatment recommendations.

Multidisciplinary Treatment Team
Mood disorders in children frequently present differently from mood disorders in adults. The Mood Disorders Clinic has a highly specialized multidisciplinary team that understands the unique problems of this population. Our staff includes child psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical nurse specialists, and licensed social workers. The team meets weekly and works closely together as they provide comprehensive treatment for both the child and their family.
