Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Outpatient Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT)
The division of OB/GYN offers a health service for women with substance use and substance disorders who are pregnant or considering pregnancy. The Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Outpatient Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) team provides comprehensive and compassionate prenatal and postpartum care.
Our board-certified providers offer preconception counseling, prenatal care and postpartum care.
The program works in partnership with maternal fetal medicine for management of other complex obstetrical issues. Additionally, the program collaborates with addiction psychiatry for substance abuse treatment options.
Services provided include:
- Medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD)
- Peer recovery support services
- Childbirth preparation, including pain management options
- Parenthood planning
- Midwifery care options
