Abortion and Miscarriage Services
UMRH provides abortion up to 21 weeks as well as medical and surgical care for those who have experienced pregnancy loss.
Our services include:
- Medication abortion (abortion pill)
- Surgical abortion
- Management of miscarriage (with medication or surgery)
- Pain control, including oral medicines and IV medicine
- Contraception after an abortion or miscarriage — Because it’s important to understand your options, we are here help our patients find the best contraception for them. These include birth control pills, patch, shot or the ring as well as placement of implants and intrauterine devices (IUD).
Online Appointment for Medication Abortion
We offer telemedicine for a medication abortion without a need for any clinic visit. Our requirements are that you must be in the state of Maryland for the video visit, and you must be less than 12 weeks after the start of your last period. Please call our office to see if you would be a good fit for this option.
Abortion Cost and Insurance Information
We are able to accept most insurances, including Maryland Medicaid. We have cash-pricing packages for out-of-state and uninsured patients.
