Baltimore magazine “Excellence in Nursing” issue honors nurses from both UMMC campuses

Nurses will be featured in May edition of Baltimore magazine

Baltimore magazine is honoring four nurses from University of Maryland Medical Center's University Campus and one from UMMC Midtown Campus in its annual "Excellence in Nursing" issue in May. The nurses honored by the magazine who work at UMMC's University Campus are:
- Donna Audia, RN, HN-BC, Integrative Care Team, in Medical/Surgical Nursing category
- Jasmine Noronha, BSN, RN, Pediatric Progressive Care Unit, for the Pediatrics: Non-neonatal category
- Christina Purificato, BSN, RN, CCRN, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, for the Intensive Care category
- Chona Rizarri, BSN, RN, PCCN, Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Unit, for the Cardiovascular category
The magazine's honorees also include UMMC Midtown Campus nurse Mariama Diallo, RN, BSN, CCRN, (pictured at right) who was recognized in the Intensive Care category.
A total of 13 nurses from six hospitals in the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) were recognized in this issue.
In preparation for "Excellence in Nursing" issue, the editors of Baltimore asked readers to submit nominations, then gathered an expert panel of nurse leaders from the region to help select 55 of the most outstanding nurses in 17 categories.
