How to Apply
Eligibility
Candidates must meet the following requirements prior to applying:
- Graduation from an accredited acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- National board certification – i.e., ANCC, NCCPA
- Maryland RN license and CRNP or PA license
- Ability to work 40-60 hours per week, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment
Clinical experience/rotations in critical care is strongly advised. Attendance at all lectures, simulations and clinical rotations is mandatory.
Application Process
Available positions will be posted in January/February.
To apply, candidates must submit:
- A personal statement detailing the purpose in pursuing a fellowship and future professional goals related to Critical Care
- An updated curriculum vitae with a detailed description of prior critical care experience
- Three letters of recommendation: one from a current or recent supervising physician or advanced practice clinician, and two from program faculty or preceptors

A select number of applicants will be invited for a virtual interview, followed by a one-day, in-person interview in March. Acceptance notifications will be sent by April.
Fellowship start dates will be between September and October, based on graduation dates of selected fellows.
