All interested candidates must apply through ERAS in order to be reviewed.

Prerequisites
- Completion of US-based Internal Medicine residency program
- Internal Medicine board-eligible or board-certified
Application Process
The ERAS 2024 fellowship cycle has announced that applications will be available to programs on July 17, 2024. To be considered for an interview, applications must be received by August 16, 2024. Interviews are scheduled by invitation only from September through October. Our program participates in the NRMP Match Program and complies with the “All in Match.”
Non-US citizens must have either permanent resident status (green card) or a J-1 visa to participate in the fellowship program. We cannot provide H1 visa sponsorship.
The following materials must be submitted through ERAS:
- ERAS application
- Curriculum vitae (ERAS format is acceptable)
- Personal statement
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) or "Dean's letter"
- Three letters of recommendation, preferably including one from the Chair of the Department of Medicine or Residency Program Director
- Medical school transcript
- USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 scores
- Photograph
- Your email address
Visiting Rotation
For those who would like to acquaint yourselves with our program prior to applying, we encourage you to consider a visiting rotation at the University of Maryland. It will also give you an idea of what living in Baltimore is like. We will try to accommodate your request.
Please be aware that participating in a rotation here does not guarantee an invitation to interview or acceptance into the fellowship.
