University of Maryland Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship
The University of Maryland Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgery fellowship offers comprehensive training in shoulder/elbow surgical care. The aim of our fellowship is to graduate a fellow each year who is skilled in both open and arthroscopic approaches.
Our surgery team performs over 2000 shoulder and elbow procedures a year and is the leading referral center for complex consultations throughout Maryland, Southern Delaware and parts of West Virginia.
The fellowship program includes twelve months with faculty whose practices cover aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including adult, pediatric, traumatic, degenerative and sports pathologies. The fellow will have the opportunity to examine common and unusual shoulder and elbow conditions.
Our program has a specified expertise in complex elbow trauma, sports elbow injuries, elbow arthroscopy and post-traumatic elbow reconstruction. We have one of the highest elbow surgery volumes in the country within ASES-recognized fellowships.
