Letter from Program Director

We are excited that you are interested in the University of Maryland Family Medicine Residency. Founded in 1968, we are one of the first Family Medicine training programs in the country and continue to provide excellent training for our residents. We believe that Baltimore is a rich environment to learn in and we are proud to provide excellent care to our patients in this community.

Our residency program aims to train residents in the full scope of Family Medicine with a rigorous program that incorporates elements of inpatient and outpatient medicine in both academic and community hospital settings. We are proud to have graduates practicing in Maryland and beyond, from private practice and urgent care to academic settings. I believe this is a testament to the breadth of training provided.

We are committed to continuing to train competent, compassionate, socially engaged family physicians. Our faculty are dedicated to supporting our trainees in achieving these goals. I invite you to explore to learn more about our training program and our awesome residents and faculty.
