Greetings From the Program Director
Our program director, Dr. Danielle Baek, shares what to expect at the University of Maryland.
The University of Maryland's internal medicine residency is a nationally renowned program, known for training expert physicians as they progress through their medical career.
The fifth-oldest medical school in the United States, we remain focused on educating future physicians in both clinical and research settings. Our faculty leaders, who are a part of the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Department of Medicine, will work shoulder-to-shoulder with you, guiding you through different rotations as you are exposed to different medical specialties.
You'll have a mix of inpatient and ambulatory rotations, electives and conferences. Our research pathway is designed for physician-scientists and allows residents to train in clinical sciences and biomedical research. You'll do all of this while living in an engaging, diverse and welcoming Baltimore community. We also offer competitive salaries and benefits.
