Interview Day - Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency

As you plan your interview at the University of Maryland, below are some helpful details:

Our interviews are conducted virtually and will begin at 9 am EST. 

Once you have confirmed your interview date, browse our website to learn more about our program. Information about Baltimore, as well as things to do around the city, can be found at Living in Baltimore.

We hope you are able to join our residents for a relaxing and fun virtual gathering the evening prior to your interview. A separate email will be sent with details once you schedule your interview.

On the day of your interview, you will have one interview with a faculty member, one interview with our program director and ample time with the residents. Each applicant is also scheduled for a small group session about Baltimore with our associate program director. You will be emailed a complete interview schedule, as well as informational materials, at least 24 hours prior to your interview. As our interviews are on Zoom and not conducive to formal attire, we invite our applicants to wear business casual.

In accordance with the NRMP guidelines, we do not engage in post-interview communication. There is no need to send “routine” thank you notes, but if you have a specific question about our program, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Based on the guidance of the Med-Peds Program Directors Association, at this time we do not plan on having in-person second looks or visits to ensure equity for all applicants. If you would like to visit Baltimore, please let us know so we can share all our favorite restaurants and fun activities!
