What do you like about Baltimore? It's an easily accessible city with charming neighborhoods, great restaurants, and is only a quick drive to the beach.
Favorite part about being a resident at Maryland? The people!! From the office staff to the residents and attendings, I really appreciate how welcoming everyone is. Also, the program has multiple clinical sites and early surgical exposure that helps in training well-rounded ophthalmologists.

My favorite part about this residency program is that my class was integrated into the ophthalmology program within the first week of intern year and because of that, even as a PGY-1, I feel comfortable calling on any of my co-residents and seniors for help at work and can also easily hang out with them outside of work.

What do you like about Baltimore?: The strong sense of community across the diverse neighborhoods. It is a well-balanced city that allows you to enjoy the perks of an urban life without the congestion, noise and high cost of living of bigger cities.
